The Google Search app has been updated to version 3.0. The update includes Google Now.
Google Now is your new digital assistant. Similar to Apple's Siri, but more proactive.
Here's a description from the Google Search iTunes App Page:
"A helping hand from Google Now
• Get weather and traffic conditions before you start your day.
• Get updates on your favorite sports teams and breaking news stories as they happen.
Find out more about all other ways Google Now can help you at http://www.google.com/now"
Google Now is now available for iOS devices. To get the new feature, update the Google Search app or if you haven't yet downloaded the Google Search app, get it here, FREE, from the App Store.

Is 'Google Now' Coming to iPhone and iPad?
Android users running operating system Jelly Bean will be already familiar with Google Now, and now the Siri like program on steroids may be coming to iOS users soon as well.
Google Now is the app that can seem creepy because it will end up knowing everything about you. From your planned days events to where you are and where you're heading and even personal details like a favorite sports team. But without making it sound creepy, Google Now basically acts like an assistant that's always thinking one step ahead and providing you with information when you need it.
Sounds kinda cool right? Well Engadget was tipped off about a YouTube video (which has now been removed) that is supposedly a Google advertisement showing off the new Google Now feature built in to the already existing iOS Google Search App.
Of course this video could be fake, but still this makes the dreams of iOS users who want to be able to use Google Now just that little bit closer to reality.
