Financial Investments, is what determines your income per second: In the game you'll start off small, maybe investing in a piggy bank, or under your mattress... Then you'll soon be opening a savings account, investing in stocks, and so on...

Business Investments, is what builds up your swipe income. That it, every time you swipe, how much money you gain.

What could be considered a downside to the game, you will regularly get a visit from some powerful people, who will cut down your income and savings.

iOS 7 iPhone How To: Not Show Text Message On Lock Screen

When you get a text message (or iMessage) on your iPhone, the message will appear on your lock screen and notification center, and will show the contact name and a preview of the message...

In iOS 7, there are heaps of options to customize how messages show on your iPhone. You can hide the message preview, or the whole alert from you lock-screen, which is good if your iPhone isn't always on you and you have nosy people around. You can hide the app badge, change alert banner styles, and so on...

All the notification settings for messages is located in Notification Center. From there is a bunch of tweaks that you can use to change message alert behavior.

Here is a walkthrough guide of the iOS 7 Messages Notification Center Options:

Open 'Settings' app. Then tap 'Notification Center'. Then find and tap 'Messages'.

Alert Style: When you're using your iPhone, this option determines how you'll be notified. None: nothing will show on your screen and interrupt you. Banners: a banner will appear at the top of the screen. Alerts: a pop up will appear, freezing the app you're currently using and making you either dismiss the message or go to the message.

Badge App Icon: When on, will display a number on the Messages App displaying how many unread messages you have.

Alert Sound: Here you can select the type of sound that will play when you receive a message.

Show in Notification Center: Choose whether you would like message alerts to display on Notification Center.  You can also select how many items to include in the list.

Show on Lock Screen: This option when switched off, will keep messages from showing on your lock screen.

Show Preview: If you switch off 'show preview', you will get a notification showing on your lock screen, with the name of the sender, but no part of the message will show. You will need to unlock your iPhone and go to the message to read the text.

Repeat Alerts: This is the option for how many times you want your iPhone to alert you of an unread message.

Show Alerts from: You can decide with this option to only show alerts if the message is from someone on your contact list, or from anyone.

New Video Shows Rumored iPhone 6 Dummy Comparison To iPhone 4S

Video by Ran Avni, and posted on website macitynet.it, shows the rumored iPhone 6 design against the previous iPhone 4S model.

Like all the rumors, this iPhone 6 mockup shows a thinner design, with a 4.7 inch screen, new volume buttons, and a relocated Power button.

Of course this design is just based on rumors and "leaked" designs for case-makers. So for now, take this design with a grain of salt. But if real, this does show the size differences and a physical look at the rumored iPhone 6 redesign.

The next generation iPhone, is expected to be unveiled in September of this year.

Physical iPhone 6 Dummy Model Shows What The Rumored Next Gen Would Look Like [VIDEO]

Reported on Nowhereelse.fr, this YouTube video shows what the rumored iPhone 6 would look like in the real world.

The physical mock-up shows the rumored iPhone 6 with the 4.7 inch screen, with a thickness of only 6mm, with curved back edges, and moved power button.

There is no way to confirm that any of these rumors of the next iPhone are indeed legit. We have seen fake iPhone design leaks many times in previous years.

There are also a few things about this design that could scream "fake!", like the movement of the Power Button to the devices right side. Or the Camera's Flash being circular instead of pill-shaped like the iPhone 5s.

This design would also mean Apple will be moving back to a curved edge design, not seen in the main iPhone line since the iPhone 3GS. And there is no real answer to how the back would be all aluminum, since Apple has used plastic plates on the top and bottom in previous iPhones for signal reasons...

The iPhone 6 (or whatever Apple decides to call it, maybe iPhone Air?) is expected to be revealed at a Apple event in September.

Jetpack Impossible - iOS (iPhone) & Android - Collect Green Gems, While Dodging Asteroids

We've all seen countless Flappy Bird clones, enough for a lifetime... If you're looking for similar games in terms of the controls and difficulty - here's a new one for you to try:

Jetpack Impossible By Nitako LTD. Is a new challenging game with a similar playing style, but no darn pipes or birds!

As you may have guessed from the title, you're on a jetpack, one that will need you to tap/hold on either the left of right direction of the screen to stay afloat. The mission is simple - collect the green gems, while dodging the asteroids.

Just like the title says, the game can feel impossible! It can be very tricky to control the jetpack, and just like Flappy Bird, don't count on getting a very high score. But at least in this game, you'll probably last a bit longer before seeing that game over screen.

Jetpack Impossible is a great fun and challenging game. Download it if you love jetpacks, space and impossible games like Flappy Bird.

Jetpack Impossible is FREE to download and is available for iOS (designed for iPhone) and Android devices

Could The iPhone 6 Be As Thin As The Current iPod Touch? - Comparison Video

Video: Unbox Therapy (YouTube)

Latest rumors and leaks about the next iPhone (presumably called the iPhone 6, or maybe the iPhone Air) all point to a larger screen, most likely 4.7 inches. But even more interesting is that one leaked renderings, supposedly for case-makers, point to a thickness of only 6mm for the iPhone 6. That is the same thickness as the current generation, iPod Touch.

If the leaks are real, the next generation iPhone, although it would be bigger in terms of height and slightly in width, would be super thin! With the camera, antennas, and battery, is that thickness even possible? Is it necessary? I've never head anyone say, the iPhone is too thick. I have heard, the iPhone's battery sucks, on the other hand. Maybe Apple has their priorities wrong...

YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, has gotten one of the cases made possibly from the leaked renderings for the rumored iPhone 6. In the video above, he compares the case to the current iPod Touch which shares the thickness of 6mm. The case shows, that although the iPod doesn't fit (for obvious reasons of height and width differences) the sides fit well, and even the alignment of volume keys match.

Is the leaked rendering real? Or has someone just made a fake 'perfect' mockup to fool eager Apple fans, and case manufacturers? If real, the iPhone 6 will be impressibly thin - 1.6mm thinner than the iPhone 5s and even 2.1mm thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5.  Of course there is no way to tell for sure until Apple CEO, Tim Cook, takes the stage the to unveil the next iPhone, presumably in September of this year.

If you wanna see more videos about iPhone 6 leaks, be sure to head over and subscribe to Unbox Therapy's YouTube Channel

New iPhone 6 "Nitelight" Featuring 5.7" Screen, a 3D Stereo Camera & More... [Concept Video]

Check out this concept video by Mindspi Vision, of a new iPhone with a 5.7 inch screen, dual 3D camera, full aluminium body with curved edges, and with a look of something out of the movie Tron - illuminated bezel, home button and Apple logo.

Pretty cool design. I like the shape and appearance of the iPhone. A 4.7 inch iPhone would be a much better choice in my opinion. Also I don't see the need for a stereo 3D camera, as I doubt 3D photos has caught on anywhere. Still a nice concept design.

Help Cure Cancer By Playing A Video Game On Your iPhone/iPad or Android - Play to Cure: Genes In Space

What if you could help cure cancer by playing a space flying game on your iPhone / iPad or Android device... Would you play? Because there is an app! It's called Play to Cure: Genes In Space By Cancer Research UK.

"Every day, scientists across the globe are painstakingly analysing the genetic faults in thousands of cancer samples. They are looking for clues that will help develop new cancer treatments. This game let’s you help."

In this space game, you pilot a ship through a course of 'Element Alpha', shooting asteroids that come your way. The element that you are collecting is actually genetic cancer data. The data is the significant genetic changes in individuals. Analyzing this data can help scientists discover cancer causing genes and develop life saving treatments.

"Instead of one lone scientist analysing a cancer data set by eye for hours, a group of gamers can get through that data simply by playing this space themed game and collecting a valuable and tradable substance dubbed, Element Alpha."

This is not the best game in the world - it very far from it. But you do feel great just by playing it. Just thinking that by playing video games, you could be contributing to something like curing cancer, is amazing.

Play to Cure is unfortunately buggy. I experienced a lot of crashes and maps/game not loading. It's hard to help out when the app doesn't even work. It's a shame, because I think if they had made a really cool game they could of got a lot of people playing.

The game features a couple of space-ships, which you can upgrade and customize with items, weapons and colors.  Game also features ranks, which you can go from a recruit to a 'galactic legend'. For a lot of the features to work you will need to make an account and sign in - which is a bit of a bummer. You can play in guest mode - but nothing will be saved.

Cancer is something that affects everyone in life, either directly or indirectly.  I highly recommend everyone download this app. Play some games - help out some scientist - so they can make this world a better place - for everyone.

Play to Cure: Genes In Space is FREE to download and is available for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices.

iOS 7 How To Not Zoom In Wallpaper - Tutorial - iPhone/iPad

A big problem in iOS 7 with the new parallax / perspective zoom feature was it would mess up your wallpapers. It would also require you to have an extra boundary on photos to allow the 'movement'.

Apple has 'fixed' this problem in iOS 7.1 by allowing users to disable the perspective zoom feature on the wallpapers, while not disabling all other motion on your iPhone/iPad.

For the following to work, you must have iOS 7.1 installed. If you haven't updated already, go to: Settings > General > Software Update.

iOS 7 - How To Not Zoom In On Wallpapers

Disabling Perspective Zoom on wallpapers is really quite simple. Whether you choose your wallpaper through; Settings > Wallpaper & Brightness, or from the Photos app.

On the Wallpaper Preview page, you'll see a new button in iOS version 7.1 which says: Perspective Zoom. All you need to do is switch this option to "Off".  You'll also notice that by just pinch and zooming and moving the image around yourself, the option will turn itself off or on - depending if the current zoom would support the parallax effect.

Dots: Puzzles - New Game For iPhone/iPad By Betaworks One

From the developers who brought you the addicting minimalist puzzle game; Dots: A Game About Connecting, is a new spin-off game - Dots: Puzzles by Betaworks One.

(*game does not appear as dark gray as in image...)
You may of played - or still play the iOS/Android game Dots: A Game About Connecting. It's a simple looking puzzle game of colored dots. You play the game by drawing lines through the dots (of at least three, and the same color) which collects them.  The best strategy is to connect the dots into squares which will remove all the dots of that color from the grid.

The new Dots: Puzzles game keeps the dots - but turns them into individual puzzles. Each level gives you a required quota of colored dots, which you must collect to move on to the next level.

The best way to describe Dots: Puzzles is it's a combination of Dots: A Game About Connecting and games like Candy Crush or Candy Mania.

The games story follows "two brave dots as they traverse arctic tundras". Dots: Puzzles features 60 levels (with more coming soon).

The gameplay is like Dots, but a little different.  You can collect dots of two and up. You are still aiming to make squares to maximize you score. But in this game, the grid is smaller and you have a limited number of moves available. You also have lives. If you lose a game - you'll lose a life.

Dots: Puzzles is a fun and challenging puzzle game. Download if you like games: Dots, Candy Crush, Candy Mania, Bejeweled, and other similar apps...

Dots: Puzzles is FREE to download (contains in-app purchases), and is available for iOS (designed for iPhone and iPad) devices.

Best Video Downloader For iOS (iPhone/iPad) - Download Streaming Videos From Sites - App Review

Video Downloader Pro - Download Manager & Media Player by Devstar Apps is a great video downloader tool for iPhone's and iPad's.

Video Downloader Pro has recently gone FREE in the App Store (at the time of posting) - a saving of $4.99. If you interested in downloading the app (for free) - go now!

Video Downloader Pro is a great app with a bunch of useful features. The app has a built in web browser and can download videos from major streaming video sites (like YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, ect...) Although be aware that unless you're downloading your own videos - it's against the policy/terms of use of many online streaming sites to download videos. Use the app with your own discretion.

The app also says it'll work on any; streaming video sites,  file sharing sites, sites with downloads, and cloud storage sites. With the ability of up to 10 simultaneous downloads.  Resuming of interrupted downloads, and downloads in background.

Video Downloader Pro also acts as a download manager. You can watch the files download, and then view all in a dedicated tab.

You can play videos, make playlists, send it out to a TV, open in another supported app, export to your devices Camera Roll, or email.

There are also the settings to transfer files to your computer via Wi-Fi. Set a pin lock on the app to keep out prying eyes. And some browser / player customization options.

The only things I can find to complain about is - You can't select video quality stream (unless the option is on the site) it's really whatever is playing. So unless the site streams the file, say in HD, you'll save whatever it streams.

Video Downloader Pro is a really good app. Easy to use. Great user interface. Works on many sites like they claim. If you want a video downloader for your iPhone or iPad - download this one!

Video Downloader Pro - Download Manager & Media Player is available for iOS (iPhone/iPad), and is regularty priced at $4.99 - but is FREE at the time of this post. - Download Video Downloader Pro from the iTunes App Store.

If you didn't update the app - you may have automatic updates switched on. If you don't want apps updating in the background, you can disable automatic updates by navigating to:

Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Switch 'Updates' to 'Off'.

Selfies + Drawing = French Girls - Free iPhone App

What do you get when you combined selfies with drawing? You get the app French Girls by Appek LLC.

French Girls is a sharing, drawing app (not just for girls) that encourages you to upload your selfies. Other users of the app will then see your photo and will draw a portrait of you.

The basic concept of the app is - upload your photo (which will share it to the world), and wait for someone to draw a portrait of you (which will also be visible to everyone). The other half of the app is: pressing the draw button - and drawing an portrait of someone else.

There are 4 main buttons in French Girls.
- Draw (pencil) - Randomly get given an photo of a person to draw.
- Upload Your Picture (camera) - This is where you can take a selfie and upload it to the app.
- View Gallery (eye) - See a feed of all the photos and drawings by everyone.
- Your page (French man) - This is where you can see all the drawings you've made and all the photos you've uploaded.

You can also share photos from the app to various social sites like; Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Or download photos - and report inappropriate pics.

The app has a simple and easy to use interface.  And while there are some good artist on the app that draw some nice pictures of their subject (they are rare), most of the drawings are all crude, people advertising their social network pages, or are inappropriate.

I recommend downloading the app if you want to laugh at a crappy drawing some random stranger has drawn of you. Or if you like drawing strangers.

French Girls is a FREE app (with in-app purchases available) made for iPhone. Download French Girls from the App Store

How To Check Your Heart Rate On An iPhone or Android Phone - Instant Heart Rate

A lot of new technology has gone health related. There are FitBits, FuelBands, A Gear Fit, and Samsung has even put a hearth rate sensor onto their latest phone. Well I've been able to check my heart rate on a iPhone for years, thanks to a pretty cool app called - Instant Heart Rate - Heart Rate Monitor by Azumio Inc.

This heart rate monitor was even featured on the Dr. OZ show. It's simple to use, and seems fairly accurate. The app uses your iPhone's camera and camera light, to see into your finger to monitor the blood flow.

Instant Heart Rate - Heart Rate Monitor, also features a Real-time PPG graph, a Continuos or Auto-Stop mode. Heart Rate zones, and real-time global map. Pulse waveform graphs. Trends (or Graphs) that can show you information you've gathered by checking and tagging your heart rates. Registered users can also export their data. You can share to social networks.

All that comes in the app after purchase. Their is an optional additional in-app purchase for a 'StandUp test' which is for fatigue and fitness testing.

If you're into checking your heart rate, this would have to be the current best heart rate app for iPhone's. It'll work great on any iPhone that has a camera and camera light. (so iPhone 4 and up). It is also compatible with any iPhone running on at least iOS 5.

Instant Heart Rate - Heart Rate Monitor is available for iOS (iPhone) and Android. There is a few versions available, including a paid version for $1.99 and a Free (limited) version. You can find all the download links for Instant Heart Rate by clicking here

How To Set Up & Use Password Manager - LastPass (via TWIT)

If you take your online security seriously, which you should! You'll want very good passwords protecting your internet information.  Re-using passwords from site to site, is not a good idea because if one password is compromised, all your logins are compromised.  Also if you are using passwords like 123456 or password, you're also unsafe.

But how do you remember all these different passwords... Not by writing them down on paper! The best way is to use a good, secure password manager.

There are two great password managers I'd recommend. 1Password, and LastPass. They both work across multiple platforms.  You can find more information about 1Password here. And LastPass on their website.

I wanted to share this video to you all from TWiT.TV. It's a special with tech expert Leo Laporte, who shows you how to download and set up LastPass.  It's a must watch, and it's a great introduction to the password manager and all it's great features.

Narwhal - A New Awesome App For Reddit - iPhone

Narwhal for Reddit By Rick Harrison is a new client application for the popular social sharing website Reddit.

Narwhal features a iOS 7 inspired design, using a color palette similar to the official Reddit colors. The interface is clean looking and well thought out.

You can access; front page, new, hot, rising and controversial, from a pull down menu. From the site 'hamburger' (three line) menu, you can access all the other sub-reddits, find users, and edit preferences. You can also easily share Reddit posts to social networks.

If you don't have a Reddit account, this app is free. But by upgrading the app to the paid version (for $1.99), you can sign in using your Reddit account, and access features; messages, add new posts, comment, subscribe to sub-reddits, vote on posts with simple swipe gestures, save/hide posts using gestures...

Narwhal is a nice new promising app for Reddit. If there is a feature you think is missing, there is apparently more features to come in future updates.

Narwhal for Reddit is FREE to download, contains an in-app purchase for a 'pro version' ($1.99). The app is designed for iPhone, and can be downloaded from the App Store

iOS App: How To Tie A Knot - 3D Instructions - iPhone/iPad

How to Tie Knots 3D By Sergey Burlakov is an iOS app all about - you guess it! Tying knots!

Regularly at the price of $1.99 - How to Tie Knots 3D is currently on sale, and you can download the app for FREE!

This app which has been designed for both iPhone and iPad devices, features over 40 of the most essential knots that you may need to know.

Some of the types of knots taught in the app are:  Figure 8, Bowline, Reef knot, timber hitch, double fisherman's, and many more...  If you know the name of what you're looking for, there is search bar that you can type into.

The app shows you step-by-step instruction with 3D animated images. It also includes the text instructions. In the settings, you can even control the animation speed.

The knots are ranked with ratings of: Easy, Middle and Hard. You can mark knots as favorites, and even share by them via Facebook or Twitter.

The interface of the app could use an update, and I have certain dislikes with the app, like the way the text instructions is displayed... But, the instructions and knot animations seem pretty good.

Whether you're a scout, a fisherman, a climber, or for whatever the purpose - this app can probably help you out.

How to Tie Knots 3D is available for iOS (designed for iPhone & iPad). Originally priced at $1.99, currently FREE at the time of this posting. Download the app now, from the App Store!
