MONOPOLY Millionaire for iPhone, iPad & Android - App Review

MONOPOLY Millionaire

Monopoly is a old favorite, board game, best known for the game lasting hours! Well this new iOS version of the game, should fix that problem! This new version is, Monopoly Millionaire. The aim of this game is not to get the other players bankrupted, but to be the first player to reach 1 Million Monopoly Dollars!

This is a much faster-paced game. This version is also features new game-play features. You can,  "Trade properties on the sly, force powerful land-grabbing deals..." Basically you and your opponent can steal property from each other... I'm still working out the new features.

If you've played any of the other Monopoly games on iOS before, this one keeps the familiar game-play interface, but with some new graphics.

The Chance and Community Chest squares have all new cards to offer. You can get a card that allows you to just say no to rent, roll the dice to get a chance to win at the casino... There's also this new 'Fortune' feature that I'm not really sure what it does, but I think it's like the Community Chess cards...

Player-able Monopoly pieces on this game as also now upgrade-able. The pieces include; A plane, Boat, Car, and Bike.

Property squares in the game includes names; Paradise Island, Ski Mountain, Sunshine Bay, Showtime Blvd, Movie District, Adventure Park, Dream Avenue, Aqua Park Resort, and many more...

If you feel the game is over too quick, you can change the end goal to 2 million. Or if the game is too easy to win, you can change the difficulty settings.

This new version will take a few games to get used to. There are quite a few changes, that the old players of the game may be confused with.

Few issues with the game. For one, the computer seems to always take the first turn. Also the computers roll of the dice is also good, while mine is always either a low number or one that will land on property of other players. Seems a little rigged at times. Also with the U.I. (user interface), I'm not a fan of the game-log-text displaying over the game-board, the writing clashes and is hard to see and read at times.

In conclusion. The game is okay. If you already own a Monopoly iOS / Android game, I don't think there's a need to rush out and go buy this one, but if you don't - it's a nice game to start your Monopoly collection.

MONOPOLY Millionaire is priced at $2.99 for iPhone, $4.99 for iPad & $0.99 for Android. You can buy the games from the App Store and Google Play Store.
