94 Degrees - Fun Visual Question & Answer 'Hot & Cold' Game For iPhone, iPad & Android

Ever play that game, when you say, "You're getting warmer... colder... hot...", well there is a fun visual question game available for iOS and Android devices, from developer, Scimob, called 94 Degrees, that uses a similar game play.

The way 94 Degrees works is, you are show an image, and given a something to find, and you must locate 'the answer', by placing pins on the picture, in the place you think is the answer.

As you can see from the image above, there is a human male body, showing all the muscles. In this level, you are told to find the "Pectoral Muscles". If you tap and place the pin near his knee, you get a temperature reading of 23 degrees, (which is cold), in the game the correct answer is always 94 degrees. Say you place the next pin on his abs. You get a reading of 74 degrees. So you can see that you're getting "warmer"to the correct answer. You add another pin a little higher and see that the correct answer is right around their somewhere. Finally you figure out the answer, and place a pin a bit higher on the "Pectoral Muscles" and you win, and move on to the next puzzle/ question.

For guess the correct answer, you get 4 coins.  Coins can be used to buy clues (or "jokers") to the correct answer. Jokers include;
- A Dice, that rolls, then adds the rolled number of pins somewhere on the image. One of the pins in the are correct place.
- A Compass, which will help guide you in the right direction.

Questions are from all sorts of general knowledge categories. You'll get, maps questions, math problems, human anatomy questions, fruit / vegetable questions, sport related questions, animal questions, cards, logos, and so on...  There's hundreds of levels.

You get 50 pins to play with, which recharge over time (or you can buy packs of pins). The free version of the game is very playable, but includes ads. If you upgrade to Premium for US$2.99, You'll get more features like; No Ads, Detailed Statistics, and more...

It's actually quite a fun and addicting game. You won't want to put it down!

Brain Quizzer Image Word Puzzle Game With Heaps of Levels To Answer

If you're a fan of image / word quiz games for iPhone and iPad, you probably now how most of them work. In the 'guess the word from the images' style games, there are a number of images, all which reveal clues to the word that you need to answer the puzzle. Pretty simple concept.

If you've played a lot of these games before, and are looking for a new one, that maybe you haven't tried out, download:

Brain Quizzer

As you can see from the image above, it's very similar to those other games. There are four images, jumbled letters, and a word that needs to be answered. If you answer a puzzle correctly, you earn coins. These coins can be used to buy helpers. You can buy a correct letter, or remove wrong letters. You can also share the puzzle to Facebook.

All pretty simple stuff. Easy, quick, fun, that anyone can play. As a demo, lets answer the puzzle in the image above. There's an alarm clock showing the time 8:00. There's a ribbon in the shape of an eight, eight spoons... I think it's safe to say the answer will be "eight". So all you need to do is press the correct letters from the jumbled grid. Simple!

As I said at the start, there are many games like this one. If you're into these game, I sure you would of already played a similar game. There is no compelling reason why this game is better than the others... But if you're looking for a new word/image quiz game - give this one a download!

Brain Quizzer is FREE, available for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) devices, and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.

In the case of the image above we are told it's an activity and we have a icon of a bird sitting on a glove of a persons arm. This image is related to the activity of "Falconry". After guess the correct answer you are taken to the next image.

Another activity, this one shows a image of a pencil on paper. It's not 'writing' even though you can spell the word, the answer here is, "Drawing".

If you get stuck on a image you can use helpers that are on the right side. You are given a few free at the start and can get more as you guess correctly or by buying more though in-app purchases.

The 'skip button' will take you to the next round, the 'A' will reveal one letter of the word and the 'Trash can' will remove some of the incorrect letters that are down below.

Your other two options (on the left) are to share to social media, and maybe get a friend to help you out on Twitter or Facebook.

What's the Saying? Find The Answers Hidden In Each Pic! - iPhone, iPad - App Review

What's the Saying?

FREE - iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad)

You've guessed the picture, you've combined the images to make up words, you've found the common in four pictures, and now it's time to test yourself with catchphrases!

If you have played any popular picture guessing games, you'll be familiar with the set up of this game.

In 'What's the Saying?', you have given an images with cryptic clues inside. The clues will give you the answer which can be a sentence, phrase, saying, or even just one word.

Here are a couple of examples:

This one is really easy, it's all basically written out for you. If you examine the image you have the words "EZ", "AS", and the mathematical symbol "Pi".  Below the image is the spaces that show how many words there are and how long is each word. And below that is the letters available to make up the answer. And the answer to this one is obviously, "Easy as pie".

Here's another example:

In this one, we know the answer will be two words, and the first word is only one letter. Piecing the puzzle together, we have an "eye", under the word "stand". ....If you haven't got it yet - maybe this games not for you...

There is 150 levels currently available to play. For every correct answer, you are rewarded with some game coins.

If you get stuck on a level you can use your game coins to buy some 'Lifelines' to help you out.

For free, you can ask your friends on Instagram, or for 99 coins (each) you can remove the wrong letters from the grid, or reveal one of the letters in the answer. If you run out of coins you can always buy more (with real money) through the in-app purchases.

'Guess The Celeb' - A Test of Your Celebrity Knowledge

Guess The Celeb

FREE - iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad)

There sure is a lot of image based guessing games on the App Store. This one is really for the hardcore celebrity enthusiasts.

'Guess The Celeb' will test your memory and celebrity know-all.

In the game, you have the image and the mixed letters down the bottom. Type in the correct answer to move on to the next round. Simple as that!

If you need some help, you have social networks to ask on or the 'Assist' in the game, where you can use the coins you get for answering correctly to buy help; 'Reveal First Name', 'Remove Letters' or 'Reveal Letter'.

All the answers in 'Guess The Celeb' seems to be the last names of the celebrities. This seems to be on purpose.

I like the idea of the game and the cartoon images of the celebrities, however guessing celebrities just make this game difficult. It's not like 'finding' a word in a image or combing two images to make a word. With celebrities, you either know them or you don't. Therefore with this game you may start off well, then you get to a celebrity you don't know and you're stuck! Your options are to use the 'Assist' helpers, and then buy more coins when you run out or just give up and delete the app. Unless you take the third option which of course is desperately searching the Internet for "Guess The Celeb Cheats and Answers".

I think when it comes to celebrities, you need multiple choice answers, otherwise it's just going to be too difficult.

If you really love celebrities so much that you think you can identify them all, download this app! Otherwise, in my opinion, you'll probably get through a couple of answers, get stuck and delete the app.

Pictoword - 2 Pics Make Up One Word - Combine To Get Answers! - iOS App Review

Pictoword:
2 Pics, What's the 1 Word?

FREE - iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad)

Pictoword is a image based guessing game. It places two images side-by-side, with each image making up part of the word that you're trying to answer.

The game shows the two images, the scrambled letters down the bottom with a few random ones added in, and the blank squares which reveal the amount of letters in the answer we're looking for.

There's also a Facebook share button, a buy more coins button and a settings button.

First example of Picstoword: This image above, my level 8. As you can see there's a image of a fire and a dog.  So the first images makes up the first part of the word and the second image the second part. We could pretty much be certain that the second part of the word must be "dog". Now it can't be "Firedog", not a word, so thinking what else is fire... "Hot!". So now place the two words together and we get "Hotdog", which technically is two words!

In this next two images (Level 25) we have a railing and and a road. Place these two words together and you get "Railroad".

The answers starts off easy but gets harder as you progress.

And the last example:

Took me a few minutes to get level 31, because of that button!

In this picture we have a person lying down and a power button. And if you thought of those two images the same way I just did, it might take you a few to guess it as well. Because you actually need to look at these images as someone "Laying" down and a "Off" button. (Variations of the same thing, kinda the point of the game!) Combined these two words to make, "Layoff".

For every correct answer you gain 2 coins. Coins can be used to buy 'Boosts'.

'Boosts' are your helpers for when you get stuck. Access the Boosts by pressing the pink lightning bolt. For 10 coins you can remove a letter. Reveal a letter for 35. Reveal one of the images words for 70 and Shuffle for 1000.

As with all these word and image guessing games, you either love or hate them. But they help keep you brain sharp. And you'll get addicted and keep wanting to answer the next one!

What's the Icon? - Pop Culture and Logo Quiz - App Review

There's a lot of these picture guessing games out on the App Store, and here's one more to add to the collection.

What's the Icon? By Cheat Master And Friends Words Cheats LLC, combines pop culture and logo's.
You're probably familiar with this style of guessing/ quiz games by now. You have the picture, the letters. Type in the correct answer and get to the next image.

This game doesn't cover the image with a lot of little squares, of give you four images to get the answer, or gives you part of a logoWhat the Icon?, gives you the image - but distorted in some way.

As an example the top image has some distrotion filter added, but you may still recognize that it's the 'Hello Kitty' logo.

In the next example below, even though the image has been filter, you might make out that it's a ball of some kind, with what seems like a face on it, and if you've ever seen the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks, you'll recognize it's 'Wilson'!
What's The Icon?, has some 'Lifelines' to help you out when stuck. You can 'Ask a Friend' via Email, Message or Twitter for free, or for 199 in game coins, you can 'Remove Letters' or 'Reveal a Letter'. You can buy (with real money) more coins from within the app.

There are 275 levels to answer.

If you can't get enough of these picture guessing games, this is another great one with a different technique at hiding the answers, to add to your collection.

What's the Icon? is FREE and available for iOS (designed for iPhone and iPad).

Logo Quiz - Revamped; New Ninja Theme - iOS App Review

Logo Quiz by Jinfra, was recently updated. The new update revamped the whole app.

I had reviewed Logo Quiz before, if you're not familiar with the game, basically there are a whole lot of logo's, from companies, movies, TV, brands, restaurants, products, ect...
The old version was a basic 'identify the logo's' with a few different modes:
- Streak: see how many you can answer with multiple choice.
- Categories: pick a topic and answer all the logo's by typing the answers.
- Online Multiplayer: turn-by-turn versing friends or other random players.

The new version changes Logo Quiz, to feature a Ninja Theme, and removes a couple of the ways to play the game.

The new "story" is you play as Ninja Dai, in a quest to get the black belt of logos and win your Sensei's approval.

There is now only one way to play the game, which is a level based. There are 10 levels with all up, hundreds of logos.

Inside each level are a number of logos for you to guess. The logos are partial images, or another words, missing something from the logo.

Click on a logo and type in your answer. If stuck you can 'ask Sensei', and he'll give you a hint of a few of the letters in the word, or you can use resolve the logo for "5 hints". If you're really stuck you can also go to Facebook or Twitter and ask for help.

Another new feature of Logo Quiz, is "Conversations With Sensei", where on certain logos, your Sensei will give you some facts and information about the companies and logos. Interesting, but sometimes you don't care and just want to get to the next logo - and that's what the skip button is for!

Not really sure what to think about the new update. The Ninja theme really doesn't seem necessary and makes the app gimmicky, while some of the facts can be worth reading. They removed one of my favorite modes, which was the multiple choice streak mode, and you now must play it out by levels. Still a fun logo guessing game, though.

The "new" Logo Quiz is now FREE, while the old original free version is still available in the App Store and features the 'Streak Logo' mode! The new 'Ninja version' is available for iOS, designed for both iPhone and iPad.

Who's the Celeb? - Scrambled Pics Game - Can You Answer All 100?!!

Think you know your celebrities? Can you recognize them if their images where scrambled? Who's the Celeb? By Cheat Master And Friends Words Cheats LLC, will test you on just that!

100 levels to test your brain. There is a mix of celebrities from sport stars to singers and actors...

Way the game works is; basically you have an image that has been jumbled, and letters on the bottom of the screen.  Use the letters on the bottom to type out who you think the celebrity in the image is.

So simple, lets run through a few examples:

Recognize this guy? It's of course rapper Jay-Z! So you find the right letters on the bottom and type "Jay Z".

Or the second any teen girl sees this picture they'll scream "Justin Bieber", in this case the answer is just "Bieber".

Bet you'll know this one! It's of course the president of the United States, Barack Obama. Once again all you need to type is last name "Obama".

As you guess correctly you'll earn coins. These can be used if you get stuck on a level. Your 'Lifelines' are:  For 199 coins each you can 'Remove Letters', 'Reveal a Letter' or 'Descramble' (the image).  Or for free, you can ask your friends on Instagram.

One problem / dislike I found is with 'Descramble'. You'd think to "de-scramble" means to unscramble, however all this does is "re-scramble" the image.

The other smaller complaint sometimes the answer is not the full name of the celebrity or it's some sort of nickname, for example one of the pictures is of Kim Kardashian, but the answer on the game is "Kim K". Of course if you know who the celebrity is you probably will have no problem figuring out the answer.

Who's the Celeb? Is a free app and is available for iOS (iPhone and iPad) devices.

Cheats for Icon Pop Brand Free! - All Answers - iPhone, iPad App

AppVenturous, LLC is back with another wining cheat game based on another developers work. This time it's Cheats for Icon Pop Brand Free!

Cheats for Icon Pop Brand Free!
Icon Pop Brand, an app I reviewed recently, is a guessing game that uses cartoon icons of brands and products.

Icon Pop Brand of course offers there own ways to help out in-game and even has the ability to ask friends for help. But that doesn't stop heaps of websites popping up and people asking for answers all over the internet and even apps being built with the answers right there.

I understand that these games can get frustrating when you get stuck on a level, but in my opinion, using an app like Cheats for Icon Pop Brand Free! which just places them out in order, in a gallery view and throws a bunch of ads all over the screen, really is just plain cheating.

Cheats for Icon Pop Brand Free! is available for iOS.

Icon Pop Brand - Guess The Answers From Symbolic Icons of Brands, Products, Companies and More - iOS, Android

Icon Pop Brand by Alegrium, challenges you to figure out the answers from special handcrafted icons that represent topics ranging from brands, products, companies, and organizations.

You may already be familiar with the game Icon Pop Quiz, and this one is very similar to it, but Icon Pop Brand, features the icons of more brand related content.

Icon Pop Brand features hundreds of icons divided into 5 levels, with a least a 6th coming soon.

After choosing a level you'll see a grid of icons,  press on an icon and use the keyboard to guess the answer. You'll earn tokens which you can use to buy help.

When you're struck on a icon and can't figure out the answer, you can use your tokens for some help. You can get a "Hint", remove incorrect letters with "Eliminate Keys", "Open Letters" to help get the right word, and if your friends are smart, you can "Ask a Friend" on Twitter or Facebook, or just "Reveal" the answer with tokens.

Great guessing game to test your brand and product knowledge. Answers don't need to be 100% accurate, but close enough.  On the downside, the app doesn't use the native iOS keyboard, but this one works fine.

There is quite a few advertisements, but if they annoy you, they can be removed for $1.99.

Other than the frustration that comes with not being able to figure out the icons, Icon Pop Brand is fun and addicting.

Icon Pop Brand is available for free on the iOS App Store and Android's Google Play Store.

Logo Quiz - Logo Guessing Quiz Game That'll Test Your Memory

Do you know your logos? Has all those advertisements, logos and movies become stuck in your mind? Test your self with Logo Quiz by Jinfra.

Logo Quiz is a image based guessing game that shows you part of a logo of a company/ brand, movie, TV show or just about any other type of logo and gives you multiple choice answers to pick from.

There are three different game modes:

Streak - see how many correct answers you can get in a row.

Categories - which features many different topics including; fashion, airlines, auto, super heroes, movies, TV, food, technology and many more... And

Online Multiplayer - where you'll play in a turn-by-turn mode versing friends or other random players.

Logo Quiz is full of hundreds of logos. The quiz might starts off easy but gets more difficult as you progress.

When you get stuck you can use your gems and coins to buy clues.

Good thing when guessing the title the spelling or the correct whole name is not necessary and the game will tell you if you're close or have misspelled with a orange circle with a wavy and straight line.

Logo Quiz is a fun game that tests you on everything from the media to restaurants, movies, cars and more.  Test your memory and see how many logos you can pick!

Movie Buffs! Can You 'Guess The Movie' From Minimalistic Pictures? - (App Review)

Guess the Movie By Jinfra, uses minimalistic images as clues to a movie title. How well do you know your movies? Can you guess them all?

There are many unlockable categories filled with hundreds of these movie icons (pun intended).

Categories include: Best of 2012 Movies, Pictionary, Characters, Animals, Posters, Classics and the Super Hard Pack.

The way this guessing game works is, you select one of the categories and you'll see 16 icons. Each icon represents a movie. It'll usually be something iconic from the film, like a cartoon image of a character or something symbolic related to the film.

As a better example you can see from the image above how the game works. If you look at the first image you'll probably straight away know what some of the answers are like; the second image is the eyes of the main character, 'Lightning McQueen' from the kids movie "Cars". So you would type in "Cars". Then there's the symbolic bicycle flying though the sky is from the movie "E.T.". And in the second row is the arc reactor from "Iron Man".

When you get stuck (which you will) you can use your hint points to buy a clue, a few letters of the title, or buy the whole title. If you're really stuck and out of hints you can buy some more or even ask your friends on Twitter or Facebook for help.

Challenging and yet a fun movie quiz with great little images. If you're looking to test your movie knowledge and love guessing games, download this app!

'Guess The Movie' is free and available for iOS and Android.

Attack of the 'What's The Word - 4 Pictures 1 Word' Clones!

Since picture / word quiz game 4 Pics 1 Word became popular it has created a lot of clones / similar app in the store. All of them are pretty much the same and have the same concept.

You are shown four pictures and they all have one word in common.

So here is a list of all the four picture one word apps I've found so far:

4 Pics 1 Word By LOTUM GmbH

Available for iOS and Android.

(Link to review)

4 Pics 1 Word: What's the Word By Itch Mania

Available for: iOS and Android

What's the Word? - new quiz with pics and wordsBy RedSpell

Available for: iOS

(Link to review)

What's The Word: 4 pics 1 word By Emerging Games

Available for: Android

Photo Quiz: 4 pics, 1 thing in common - what’s the word? By Apprope

Available for: iOS (iPhone)

I'm sure there's probably even more out there. They are all pretty much the same but if you're wondering which one you should download out of all these, I'd say go with the crowd and pick this 4 words game. It's available for iPhone, iPad and Android. I've tried it and I think it's the best one.

What's the Word? - Another Four Picture One Common Word App For iPhone - But Which One Came First?

I could of sworn I reviewed an app just days ago that seems very identical to this one: What's the Word? - new quiz with pics and wordsBy RedSpell.

The other very similar app I'm referring to is What's the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word By LOTUM GmbH.

So which came first? What's the Word?  4 Pics 1 Word or What's the Word? new quiz with pics and words

Well according to their app info 4 Pics 1 Word was released on February 4th 2013 while New quiz with pics and words was actually released on November 8th 2012!!!

So that would make What's the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word the not original one right? If New quiz with pics and words is the same app as it was in November 2012, then you'd have to say, yes! So anyone writing reviews in the app store saying that this app is a rip-off of 4 Pics 1 Word, you might want to take that back.

So lets take a look at the first What's The Word app with four pictures that was in the app store (unless there's another that pre-dates both of these).
